Where should I start for a good career?

career
Matt asked:

I am very interested in computers. I have worked on a few, just to tinker around with them. This year, I am taking a course in school to go for my A+ certification. I want a good career in the computer industry.

So the Question is, what are some suggestions of things I can do to have a good career working on computers?

Thanks a lot!

sadly we are moved by maths in computation.
    books ^^

you can start with some basic examples of some languages such as java or visual basic

they will teach you all you need to know in the place you will study :P

I’m assuming you’re still in high school. Though I’m not a computer science major but am and engineer, my advise to you is to pickup different programming languages (Java, C++, C, Fotran) and also read alot of circuit theory, you’ll need this knowledge to understand computer hardware. Furthermore, if you’re patient, do specialize in computer hardware rather than computer software because it pays better. Anyone could write thousands of lines of code and build a software, but it takes more specialty and training (engineering know-hows) to build latest microprocessors or novel methods for data storage such as high speed solid state hard drives.
