What to do after interviewing for jobs and waiting for responses?
bluecheese asked:
I am going crazy waiting to hear back if I got a job or not. I don’t want to do work because if I get a job it will be pointless. I don’t want to look for more jobs for the same reason. But I’m not sure I even got the job. What a predicament, right? I can’t function right now and I’ve turned into a complete bum the past few days. How can I motivate myself to do work?
By work I mean school work and my GPA.

Rule number…well, it’s an important rule when it comes to job searching: you don’t stop looking or sending out your resume until you’ve gotten the offer you want (and even then, you don’t withdraw your application anywhere else until you’ve formally accepted). It’s only pointless if you actually get the job (and even then, it might give you some leverage in terms of negotiations), but you can’t count on that, and you don’t want to lose out on other opportunities or ignore other responsibilities if it doesn’t pan out.
