Given how highly mechanized modern military is, it would be easier to list those positions which don’t require knowledge of engineering. Athєist’s Nightmarє

The US Army Corps of Engineers, the US Navy SeaBees, The US Airforce has units that build bases and runways especially in remote areas, and the US Marines have engineers for construction projects. Take your pick.
