What career options are there in sociology?
Destiny asked:
Like, some specific careers, the salary, job availability, what you do in the job, and what kind of education you need. Also, what are some high school/college courses are there that would prepare someone for a career in sociology?

any administrative / marketing / media relations / public relations / hotel guests relations are all suitable.
most employers look for a graduate.
socio is very general and can fit in many non-professional jobs.
its your maturity as a person that counts
socio per se is when u move on to masters and become a full fledge sociologist.
salaries is roughtly $30,000 per yr. can go up to $60,000
[u r from usa]
when u get to campus u have an array of subjects to choose from. u can google each uni that u like and the courses are there and take your pick. besides socio u hv to pick other subjects too as its a liberal arts degree.
your interest may change after the 1st yr and u will see a greater horizon in terms of studies and employment.
