While it is good experience to work around aircraft, most unskilled and semi-skilled airport and FBO jobs pay less than you can make elsewhere. Sad but true. This is the same reason that entry-level flying jobs pay so little. There are more people willing to work for less in order to be around aircraft than there are available jobs. “Line Service” is the most common place to start unless you have office skills. Work at and FBO(fixed based operator) and pump gas and tow planes. You’ll meet a lot of pilots that can help you get to where you want to get. Alloy Boy

I worked at the flight school I originally got my Private at being an aircraft refueler. Consider that, or front desk at a flight school, perhaps work operations at the airport (city job)… Also, if you have hangars on your field, you can go to the hangars and see if any of the guys down there have any odd jobs like cleaning or washing that you can do for cash. flyin_gsxr600
