What are jobs limited to from color-blindness in the army?
My boyfriend is in the process of enlisting and remembered hes had problems with color-blind tests in the past. He can see some but not all of the color-blind tests online.
We also read that you can be color deficient and still get good jobs…
But for worst case scenario, if he is completely colorblind which jobs would he be able to get and what are his chances of being able to be a cavalry scout?
Any tips, experiences or statistics are welcome.

I heard this a long time ago, and not really sure if its true, but i remember hearing something about how during the 2nd world war the army was actually looking for color blind people to identify camouflaged enemy equipment (tanks , artillery etc) from airplanes. allen

I don’t know a full list of jobs, and I don’t want to give you my guesses. A good recruiter should know, so have him ask.
Assuming that when you said Army, you actually were talking about the US Army, and not using the word as a general term for “military” I DO KNOW that if you are color blind your job options are very limited. Lot’s of color blind Soldiers come in as Chaplain Assistants (so, I know you can get that job). If you check some of my previous answers, you’ll see a job discription for what a Chaplain Assistant does. jking3002
