job
alien1x asked:

Hi,
I have excepted a job a few weeks ago in October, I’m to start in the new year January. I have signed terms and condtions -its a permenant job.
However, I may have another late job offer which is better in terms of commuting to work.
How can I decline my excepted and signed offer due to start in the new year if this other offer comes thru ?

I would prefer to write a perlite letter of decline rather then phone?

just tell the truth and end on good terms… but u should be certain the other job is a sure thing before you write the letter.

Be honest with the Boss and talk to him a bout what’s best for you and your future and that you want to move forward in life that you have a better job offer and you are going to take it because you are a hard worker and you deserve a better job and thats why you have to do what you have to do☺

You accepted a job and signed on. You really need to do both if you decide not to work there. You need to call the person who would have been your boss and explain yourself the best you can. Then you also need to contact the HR department and give them a very politely written notice that you no longer plan to accept that job.

Don’t back out with less than two weeks to before you’d start the new job. Back out as early as you can (essentially giving them as much notice to find someone else for the job).

DO NOT decline the job without making sure that everything is absolutely complete with the other offer. Don’t do it based on a verbal offer or even the written offer, don’t do it until you’ve actually started the other job just to make sure that you don’t end up with NO job.

    good luck!
