I’m thinking about majoring in environmental science but I’m not entirely sure what jobs are out there and how difficult it is to find a job despite the recession. I’ve read that the general yearly starting salary is around 40,000, and if anyone could confirm this, that’d be great.

I love reptiles and would love to major in herpetology. However, I would like to stay in rural northern california after college and can’t think of any actual jobs that a herp major could be applied to. Therefore, I’m actually majoring in Elementary Education since I love kids as well (and for other reasons involving my feelings on the current condition of our educational system that I wont get into here). So, back to my point, what jobs ARE there for herpetology majors? What can you do with a major like that?

What high paying jobs may one get with Chemistry and Physics, excluding medical jobs, and what do they pay?

I am willing to work my way all the way to PhD level in any non-medical or environmental course. I simply wish to know of the jobs which will give me over $100k Australian without having to work in a medical area or have to live in an obscure mining location. Having a salary of $60+ within 2 years is preferable. Thanks in advance.

What would be a good career choice for me? *More details to follow*?

Hi, I am in high school and I wanted to start planning for my future. I know that the feild I choose will be in science but I am not sure which type I want to do. I excel at all classifications of science but I am not sure which one I want to do. I dont think I would enjoy chemistry or physics as much as other sciences. Though I am very good with both. I was thinking of enviromental science or biology. I know my info says I am working on my bachalors in enviromental science but I am pretty sure thats what I want to do. Its just I am really into Astrology and I like biology as well. I am not sure which one to pick. I am a straight A student so college wont be much of a problem.

I enjoy out doors work, and I love learn about earth. I also enjoy learning about space and our body, other creatures bodies and what not. Also I need to pick a career that is not hard to find a job in. Thanks so much for all of your answers.
