Originality is dead. asked:

My boyfriend is in the process of enlisting and remembered hes had problems with color-blind tests in the past. He can see some but not all of the color-blind tests online.

We also read that you can be color deficient and still get good jobs…

But for worst case scenario, if he is completely colorblind which jobs would he be able to get and what are his chances of being able to be a cavalry scout?

Any tips, experiences or statistics are welcome.

Gabe asked:

Im very crushed to find that i will never be able to enlist in the Military unless I do what the recruiter said and lie about everything, which i will not do. This is very hard to accept because i’ve dreamed of it for so many years now. I’ve heard that they do however hire civilians to work with the military though doing different jobs on base. How would i go about looking up some of these jobs? I appreciate all the answers.

It seems to me that special operations is the only job directly in combat for the Navy enlisted members. The other jobs seem to be more mundane tasks. Not trying to offend anyone I am just genuinely curious.

Tyler asked:

First of all, I am a High School Senior graduating next summer. I plan on going into medicine, and possible becoming a military doctor. What military programs are there that cover or help pay for school? What is the best career path to take? I know I need to major in premed or biology and then take the MCAT. Can I join a program (maybe the ROTC) that will both help me pay for my undergraduate and prepare me for medical school?

LESLIE P asked:

I am a proud military wife and of course that means moving every 3-4 years. Does anyone have any suggestions to a job or career that is available to do for someone that moves around so much? I have worked on base before and am just looking for something with a little more meaning. Any help is much appreciated and I am not looking for anything specific, just a job that allows me to travel as much as we do that is fulfilling.
