I want to know how long the average law enforcement or police career is. Not average retirement age or how long you work before you retire. But how long the average individual is in law enforcement before he leaves, since many leave before retirement age.

My age is 30.I have only a ordinary pass graduation in pure science.I worked for 1yr 1/2 mth in pharma sales but I want to switch track to IT as I prefer in-office decent job.
What can i do to earn a living in IT(web development)?
Will learning php help me get me a job?
I dont have money to learn ERP/SAP from ordinary institutes in calcutta.Also most of them assure,dont give a career/job.

These seem to be the two different points of view when it come to career. Half the books tell you to focus on your goal and ignore anything that doesn’t lead you to it. Other tell you to keep your options open because you never know where your best choice will come from.
One keeps you from seeing different opportunities whereas the other keeps you flipping around trying to make you are taking the best road to getting ahead.
